How much will a consultation cost?

​​Introductory Phone Call - 15 minutes

Duration: 15 minutes

Fee: $0

Suitable For: This appointment is required for all new clients.

​INITIAL APPOINTMENTS

Initial Appointment - Standard

Duration: 75 minutes

Fee: $250

Suitable For: If you have a single or straightforward nutrition concern, limited medical history, or are not requiring extended assessment time. 

​

​Initial Appointment - Extended

Duration: 90 minutes

Fee: $300

Suitable For: If you have several health concerns, a long medical history, or feel you may benefit from additional time.

REVIEW APPOINTMENTS

Review Appointment - Standard

Duration: 50 minutes

Fee: $165

Suitable For: Existing clients returning for follow-up care. This is the most common follow-up appointment, suitable for most ongoing care.

Review Appointment - Brief

Duration: 25 minutes

Fee: $85

Suitable For: A short check-in to review progress, clarify advice, or make minor adjustments to an existing plan. Not suitable for a new client or complex concerns.

Review Appointment - Extended

Duration: 75 minutes

Fee: $250

Suitable For: A longer follow-up consultation for clients requiring additional time to manage complex or multiple nutrition-related issues.​​

​

Professional Services Outside Appointment Time

These are charged in 15-minute increments and may include:

  • Written letters and reports to GPs or treating practitioners

  • Care coordination with members of your treatment team

  • Clinical emails and documentation

  • Preparation of summaries or treatment updates

Rate: $50 per 15 minutes

What is the required method of payment?

All accounts are to be paid at the time of consultation. Ally utilises Tyro for payments, allowing you to quickly and easily pay using a secure mobile link. Please note that administrative time spent following up outstanding invoices, including reminders or additional correspondence, is time invested and may be charged at the standard hourly rate.​

Can I claim my appointment with Medicare?

Yes, appointments may be eligible for a Medicare rebate when provided under a valid GP Management Plan, Eating Disorder Plan or relevant referral. If you have a suitable Medicare treatment plan, Ally will process the Medicare claim on your behalf. 

​

Can I claim my appointment with my Private Health Insurer?

Private health insurers may provide rebates for telehealth dietetic services. Depending on your private health insurance cover, dietitian consultations may be claimable.

Ally will provide you with a receipt for private health insurance claiming. 

​

Is there a cancellation fee?

Due to difficulty in filling consultations at late notice, appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment will be charged 50% of the appointment fee. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged the full appointment fee.

Additionally, if you do not attend your scheduled appointment, or if you show up more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will be required to pay the full appointment fee.

If you are running late for your appointment, contacting Ally at the time of the appointment may assist in avoiding a cancellation charge.

How do the online appointments work?

1. Book your appointment by clicking on Book Now in the top menu. Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email containing the appointment details and some pre-appointment information.

2. At your scheduled appointment time, click on the link provided in your reminder email to join the video appointment. 

3. At the completion of your appointment, Ally will email you your recommendations and any other resources or materials that will be helpful to you.

What if my internet fails during an appointment?

Ally will phone you to complete the appointment. It is important that your phone is well charged before the appointment in case we have to resort to a phone call.
